Tekken 8 Director Responds to Season 2 Backlash, Promises Improvements
Tekken 8 director Katsuhiro Harada has addressed the growing backlash from players following controversial changes in Season 2. Since the update, the game has faced heavy criticism, particularly for adjustments made to the throw system, leading to a surge of negative reviews on Steam.
In response, Harada acknowledged the disconnect between player expectations and the game’s tuning changes. On Twitter, he reassured fans, stating, “We have our Battle and Tuning team working around the clock to read through all the feedback logs and work on future policies and changes for the better.”
Harada’s statement was met with mixed reactions, but many loyal fans expressed support for the director and the Tekken team. To address the issues, emergency patches are scheduled for release in mid to late April, with additional adjustments planned for the future. Changes are expected to fix problematic moves like Paul’s Hammer of the Gods and Jack-8’s Jab Elbow.
Season 2 of Tekken 8 brought new content, including Anna Williams as a playable character, new stages, and updates to the Fight Pass system. The season will also feature a crossover event with *Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & The Envisioned Land*, introducing free DLC with new costumes, skills, and more. Despite the controversy, the development team remains committed to improving the game based on community feedback.
