*Video Ghastlies* Blends Retro Horror Cinema with Survival Gameplay
Developer Katanalevy and publisher Oro Interactive have revealed the first trailer for *Video Ghastlies*, a new survival horror game that mixes psychological terror with classic horror cinema. The game will launch exclusively on PC via Steam.
*Video Ghastlies* follows a protagonist searching for their missing brother, who vanished after becoming obsessed with a strange VHS format. Players must collect and use VHS tapes that transport them into alternate horror-themed worlds, each inspired by different eras of horror cinema—ranging from Silent Era films and Italian Giallo to 80s Body Horror and Found Footage.

The protagonist’s apartment serves as a central hub where players can regroup, solve puzzles, and prepare for each new cinematic nightmare. Each tape unlocks a unique world filled with disturbing enemies, challenging bosses, and environmental puzzles. Weapons and tools must be scavenged within each film-inspired world to survive.
With its blend of retro movie themes and survival gameplay, *Video Ghastlies* aims to offer a fresh twist on the horror genre. No release date has been announced yet, but fans can wishlist the game now on Steam.
