Overwatch 2 Confirms New Flashpoint Map for Season 17
Blizzard has confirmed that *Overwatch 2* Season 17 will introduce a brand-new **Flashpoint map**, likely named **Aatlis**, set to launch with the update on **June 24**.
Flashpoint, a large-scale game mode first added in **Season 6**, tasks players with capturing three points across expansive maps. Currently, the mode only features **New Junk City** and **Suravasa**, both released in 2023. Season 17 will mark the first addition to Flashpoint’s map pool in nearly two years.
The upcoming map, **Aatlis**, was first teased during the *Overwatch 2* Spotlight event and is believed to be set in **Morocco**, based on in-game posters and official teasers.
Additional updates expected in Season 17 include:
* **Major updates to New Junk City and Suravasa**
* Introduction of the long-awaited **Map Voting system**
* New **Stadium mode maps**: Esperanca and Samoa
Future seasons will bring even more maps, including **Route 66**, **London**, and new locations for the **Payload Race** mode in Season 18, followed by maps in **China**, **Atlantic Arcology**, and **Tokyo** in later updates.
With a steady stream of new content, *Overwatch 2* continues to expand its world and gameplay variety for fans across all modes.
