The Double Gear

The Double Gear is a new mechanic made up of two separate functions, as the name suggests. By pressing a key, Mega Man can explode more powerful than normal, while pressing the other time slows down and the Blue Bomber can dodge enemies more easily. Both power-ups share an indicator that recharges each time the player deactivates them. However, if the player uses the Double Gear for too long, overheating prevents it from being reactivated for a certain period of time, leaving Mega Man uncovered at worst times.

The difficulty levels are four – beginner, easy, normal and superhero – so you can customize the game, even if only at the beginning since you cannot change your mind once the adventure begins. You have to admit that in most cases you will have more trouble with mini-boss than the real Master Robots. So, as you are completing different levels, you will have three, four or even more different weapons available.
