The Time Is Running Out! Is There A Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Remastered Nintendo Switch Release Date?

Bundling the first two games into one package, its announcement was unluckily soured for some by the absence of a Switch statement. Could there be a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Remastered Nintendo Switch port in the outlook though?

A wonderful amount of nostalgia goes hand-in-hand by means of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series, so fans were reasonably excited to learn about Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Remastered.

Is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Remastered coming to Nintendo Switch?

Pro Skater Remastered has only been confirmed for PC, PS4, and Xbox One at the time of writing. It’s scheduled to release for those platforms on September 4, 2020.

As we alluded to in the opening, there’s currently no word from Activision or Vicarious Vision regarding a potential Pro Skater Remastered Switch version. Obviously, there’s no known Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Remastered Nintendo Switch release date as a result.

The two games featured in THPS Remastered first launched on the original PlayStation, so getting a version working on Nintendo’s weaker hybrid handheld shouldn’t be too much of an issue.

It’s merely speculation at this point, we wouldn’t be surprised to hear a THPS Remastered Nintendo Switch release date announcement in the future. Provided that the game does well enough on other formats to justify the development expense, that is.

Moreover, Activision has a track record for bringing its classic PSX remasters to Switch after they launch on other platforms. It happened with Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, the latter of which was even developed by the same studio as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Remastered.
