Despite its delay in the original November 19 release date, the hype for Cyberpunk 2077 has not stopped whatsoever from the leadup to December 10. CD Projekt Red promises an incredible experience in Night City, filled with air and immersion. Section of the promise comprises a licensed soundtrack performed by some of the music’s most acclaimed artists.

Two of the musicians contributing to the Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack are hip hop duo Run the Jewels, who released the single”No rescue Point” to all streaming services. The duo’s first release would be the duo since their fourth album RTJ4 from June this year, which received widespread critical acclaim. The duo has stated that they”wanna supply you with the soundtrack to f***ing s*** upward,” which”Even at the dystopian future, hard rap lives on.”

Lately, the duo — comprising El-P and Killer Mike — will appear literary as Yankee & the Brave, a reference to a track off RTJ4. “No Save Stage” features the duo rapping about the cyberpunk future, particularly corporations and crime growth. Killer Mike even references Keanu Reeves, who’s cast as the electronic spirit of rock star Johnny Silverhand and will play a major role in the story.

With”No Save Point” now outside, Run the Jewels will later premiere the song’s music video at the Adult Swim Festival. It will entail yet to be seen, but it looks to be full of action dependent on the Mad Dog Jones-designed art for the tune. The artwork created in partnership with longtime Run the Jewels collaborator Tim Saccenti — depicts the duo speeding through Night City guns blazing in what seems like a Buick Grand National.

Apart from Run the Jewels, the Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack will also feature the likes of Grimes, A$AP Rocky, and Refused, with the Entire tracklist yet to be confirmed. A first taste of the game would sound like it has been given to us at The Sports Awards by Grimes using the single”4ÆM.” The Canadian artist has been cast as pop star Lizzy Wizzy — finish with a tragic backstory — although the extent of her character is unknown.

Cyberpunk 2077 has had a tumultuous growth period since it was announced back in 2012. After moving dormant due to CD Projekt Red dedicating their resources to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its own DLC, the match returned in 2018 and continues to be constructing hype ever since. Despite heading gold back in October, Mike Pondsmith’s Cyberpunk franchise’s video game adaptation has had three delays amidst allegations of violent workplace practices and pinch civilization.
