By now, players who have received their hands on a PS5 have probably come to be aware of the delicious world of Bugsnax. The game is the latest from programmer Young Horses (founders of Octodad) and is currently available for free on PS5 with a PS Plus membership. And though the game seems to have been hit with families, there hasn’t been a true chance to find out what the Bugsnax actually tastes like. That is, until now.

Victoria Rosenthal is the inventor of the site Pixelated Provisions, a site devoted to recreating the various foods found in the video game. Rosenthal has seen quite a lot of success in video game titles, having released several cookbooks based on games like Fantasy and Fallout. And now, in the latest update to Pixelated Provisions, she’s begun crafting recipes to the superb universe of Bugsnax.

The cookbook author has many recipes for various Bugsnax available on Pixelated Provisions, including the Cinnasnail, Stabby, along the Flapjackarak. While Rosenthal has stated on the site which she has yet to really play Bugsnax, it appears likely that players can anticipate several new recipes out of her once she does.

Reviews for Bugsnax Appear to be overwhelmingly favorable. Critics and fans alike appear to love the game’s balance of family-friendly and mature themes. And as the game is perhaps shorter than other PS5 launching titles such as Demon’s Souls, players seem to enjoy the match’s delightful humor and intriguing characters.

It’s no surprise then that some gamers have said that Bugsnax is just one of those best games in the PS5’s launch lineup. While the new console launch hasn’t been full of hundreds of brand new exclusive games, it has managed to accrue an incredibly good group of titles. These matches include Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the sequel to Insomniac Games’ crucial hit Marvel’s Spider-Man on PS4, in Addition to Bluepoint’s beautiful picture of the PS3 title, Demon’s Souls.

When there are certainly plenty of players who would love to try Bugsnax on the PS5, unfortunately, it appears that supply is minimal. Players have been trying to snag their PS5 because pre-orders went live back in September; however, every time new consoles come into stock, players end up crashing the website with too much traffic. It seems that some players will need to try their luck at physical retailers like GameStop on Black Friday if they want to find out what the console is all about.
