Rumor: Elden Ring is Supposed to be at The Game Awards

Fans eager to get another look at Elden Ring may not need to wait longer as a new rumor suggests the game will probably be at this year’s The Sports awards in December.

Discussed on the XboxEra podcast by hosts Sikamikanico and Special Ed on YouTube, according to a source, Elden Ring will be among the many game shows expected at this year’s show, finally breaking a very long silence as the initial reveal.

The identical source indicated that Elden Ring was shown at an Xbox event earlier this season, which obviously did not come to fruition. While the idea of seeing the game shortly is exciting to FromSoftware fans, they should keep in mind that the origin has stated they aren’t 100% sure right now.

The standing of Elden Ring has been discussed on social websites with a lack of new information regarding the game since its reveal at E3 in 2019. Despite a CG preview and the reveal of George RR Martin’s participation, nothing of substance was officially revealed from the developer who caused fans to express concern for the game during the year. FromSoftware has since supported on Twitter the growth of Elden Ring is going easily and thanked the fans for its support, although not adding any further details.

While fans are chomping at the bit to get another glance at the latest FromSoftware title, Xbox head Phil Spencer has shown in an interview with GameSpot that he recently had the chance to play with Elden Ring himself. While Spencer didn’t reveal story details or how it plays, he did state that Elden Ring was one of FromSoftware’s most ambitious games thus far, adding he had been impressed with the gameplay mechanics and setting.

Elden Ring’s presence at the show is only one rumor circulating the event, like the long-rumored show of a brand new Silent Hill may also look at The Game Awards. Silent Hill is another game that has been rumored in 2020 to look at several industry events with no reveal happening; however, unlike Elden Ring, the occurrence of Silent Hill has not yet been confirmed in any way.

Whether Elden Ring is present at The Game Awards or not, the series is Guaranteed to have some surprises for fans of the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch. Last year Microsoft showed that the title and appearance of the Xbox collection X at the series, surprising fans with a glimpse of what’s now the current generation of gaming.
