Blizzard Entertainment’s Hearthstone, a digital card game based on the World of Warcraft world, has been updated with significant expansions throughout 2020 as part of its”Year of the Phoenix.” After teasing Hearthstone’s large fall show in October, programmers unveiled the year’s final growth Madness at the Darkmoon Faire, which officially launched worldwide today.

Madness in the Darkmoon Faire includes 135 new cards, with a prominent focus not only on carnival-themed characters and charms but also on the return of the”Old Gods” C’thun, N’Zoth, and Y’Shaarj, as stated by the growth’s announcement article from October 22. Each of these entities has a related archetype of Hearthstone cards and artifacts, which help update their presence in the game.

A brand new game mode called Duels is available today, as are overhauled achievements, development systems, and rewards. There is also a new kind of card”keyword” that players can encounter, basically detailing a mechanic that includes card stocks. In the case of”Corrupt” cards, they receive an updated effect if players use another card with a higher cost first.

One factor that makes Corrupt cards special is their art changes when triggered, reflecting the World of Warcraft Darkmoon Faire’s twisted underbelly. With the new expansion available today, fans will no doubt be diving in to find out what kind of decks they could build, and Blizzard stated details on much more advancements, such as another game mode and a mini-set, will be outlined beginning in 2021.
