Former Switch Exclusive Bravely Default 2 Gets PC Release Date

Square Enix confirmed Thursday that the game would soon be available on PC. Bravely Default 2 will be available on Steam in September, according to the publisher. JRPG players on PC will not have to wait long before they can try the game.
Square released a three-minute trailer to accompany the announcement, teasing the characters and story. The original release of the game on Nintendo Switch was in February. It was not announced that it would be a Switch exclusive. The PC port is a pleasant surprise for many PC JRPG enthusiasts, as shown by the comments below the trailer on YouTube.
Bravely Default 2 is, despite its name, the third instalment in the Bravely Default series. It was launched in 2012 with Bravely Default. As is Bravely 2nd: End Layer, the original game is still exclusive to 3DS. Bravely default 2 is a different story that features new characters and a unique setting. The graphical design was slightly altered, creating something similar to Bravely Default or Octopath Traveler. Its story and music are highly praised. They have been compared to the Dragon Quest series’ generally impressive tracks. Bravely Default 2 retained the unique approach to turn-based JRPG combat that was its predecessor, but some critics have complained about its boss fights.
Bravely Default 2 is the story of four main characters: Seth, Gloria and Elvis. Each character comes from a different background, either a sailor or an exiled princess, a scholar, or a mercenary. They must all work together to recover four elements from Gloria’s homeland. This is the only way to save the world from the Night’s Nexus, an ancient evil. It’s not the most original story, but it does adhere to some established JRPG tropes.
Bravely Default 2 received very few negative reviews. It’s not surprising that PC gamers were excited about the game’s upcoming port. There were also some comments asking for porting of the original two games and other exclusive Square Enix titles. JRPG enthusiasts on PC will be content with the port Bravely default 2, available on Steam next week.
