The Little Nightmares 2 next-generation enhancements include improved 4K visuals with more detail in the game world and Ray-tracing. With the switch from PS4 and Xbox One, the presentation of Little Nightmares 2 has seen some audio enhancements. The loading times were also improved. However, it doesn’t appear that the PS5 version features any DualSense features. If they exist, the developers have not mentioned them.
The Hospital level is reportedly the most updated of all the Little Nightmares 2 chapters. Developers have added ray-tracing for Little Nightmares 2 Hospital level and real-time reflections to the floors. This will make Little Nightmares 2 more visually appealing than the Xbox One and PS4 versions.
Little Nightmares 2 has been released on Xbox Series X and PS5; it will be interesting for Tarsier Studios to decide if they want to add any DLC or expand the game. Little Nightmares 2 sold over 1 million copies, so one has to imagine an audience out there who would want to play more of the game. Tarsier Studios has a precedent to expand its Little Nightmares game line. The first Little Nightmares featured DLC. Tarsier Studios said it was done with Little Nightmares content. Bandai Namco could hand the reins to another team if they want to see Little Nightmares 2 DLC.
The Little Nightmares 2 story was a complete one. It’s hard to predict the direction Little Nightmares 2 DLC will take. Tarsier Studios has proven time and again that their games are very creative, so they might be able to think of something if they wanted to continue working on the franchise. Fans of horror platformer games will enjoy the next-generation Little Nightmares2 while they wait to hear more about the franchise’s future.
