Developers showed more details about the new adventure inspired by The Legend of Zelda during a new gameplay trailer. Tiny Roar developed the game. It is set on a faraway planet called XEL. After her spaceship crashes into the strange world, the trailer introduced Reid to fans. The story seems to revolve around her fixing up her spaceship for her to leave the planet. She meets both friendly and hostile inhabitants of the planet during her adventures.
The trailer shows a lot of gameplay from a top-down perspective, similar to Zelda classics like A Link to the Past. The creators of XEL seem to be trying to distinguish the game with a 3D art style set in a futuristic but decayed world. This style is similar to Horizon Zero Dawn’s link between technology and nature. The game will be released on many platforms, including Xbox consoles, in the next year.
XEL shares some similarities with The Legend of Zelda series, aside from its top-down view. There are many different items the player can use to solve puzzles in XEL.
