This Dead Space Feature Sounds Like It’s Straight Out of God of War

Dead Space RemakeEA has revealed that the series will be making a huge return to survival horror. After EA’s publisher reported it was not satisfied with its sales figures, fans hoped for a revival. Dead Space 32013. EA had been silent about the series for many years until rumours started to circulate that it was. Dead Space RemakeThis game was in development earlier in the summer. EA released the game at the July EA Play Live event with a short teaser.

 

After the event, developers spoke with journalists and more information was released about Dead Space Remake. It would be a complete remake of the original game and include content that was not included in the original. Dead Space Remake’s enhanced dismemberment of limbs was also mentioned. Dead Space Remake’s new camera feature sounds like something straight from God of War, the 2018 blockbuster PlayStation.

 

God of War’s One-Shot Presentation

 

God Of War made great strides in reinventing the franchise. Kratos was given a new iconic weapon, a son and a whole new set of gods to fight. It also placed more emphasis on the game’s story. The story followed Kratos and Atreus, his son, as they tried to spread the ashes of Kratos’s wife, who had recently died. There was violence and murder throughout the game. However, the story also examined the complex relationship between Kratos’ son and Kratos as he struggled with his past and being a father. God Of War presented this story in an uncut continuous camera shot. It did contain some Easter eggs in God of War, but it was a great way to immerse the players throughout their playthrough.

 

The camera remains fixed on Kratos’ shoulder while the player controls it. However, for cutscenes, the camera swings out to offer other angles and highlight the action. After the cutscene is over, the camera gently glides backwards across Kratos’ shoulder before the player controls. This makes the game extremely beautiful and keeps the player fully invested. The game doesn’t have loading screens that allow players to take out their phones and start thinking about other things. Instead, it moves constantly and shows them new things. This made God of War stand out from other titles similar to it and helped make it an unforgettable experience.

Presentation in Previous Dead Space Games

Previous Dead Space titles featured a third-person view over Isaac’s shoulder. They also featured iconic HUD elements that placed Isaac’s health on Isaac’s back, so there weren’t any health meters cluttering up the screen. Special death animations were also featured in the games. Despite not having a loading screen, players had to see Isaac being brutally dismembered and eaten by the Necromorphs.

 

 

Many of the cutscenes and instances of dialogue in the series were presented with Isaac still in control and the camera in third-person combat. This allowed the game’s exposition to be immersive and kept Dead Space in suspense, as attackers can still be accessed. The games eventually started to have cutscenes with camera cuts and loading screens. These loading screens were often disguised as doors opening or elevator rides. Although the cutscenes that featured hidden loading screens or camera cuts were not terrible, it is now confirmed that Dead Space Remake will be following in God of War’s footsteps and have no loading screens and one continuous camera shot.
