When is the PS Plus Free Games for September 2021 Announcement

Sony has established a clear pattern in free software PlayStation PlusGames. Fans are used to hearing about the next month’s free games every Wednesday.PlayStation PlusGames for September 2021 will be announced on Wednesday, August 25; the announcement of PS Plus for September 2021 was not made on Wednesday, August 25. It does not appear that the announcement will be made today.

This is because Sony doesn’t reveal the PS Plus games free on the last Wednesday of each month. This is usually in line with what Sony really does, revealing the PS Plus games on Wednesday before next month. The last Wednesday of each month is usually the day that this happens. However, with September 2021, it is September 7.

While Sony could always break from its pattern and make the free PS Plus games for September 2021 announcement on a different day of the week, the most likely scenario is that the announcement will come on Wednesday, September 1. Although some may feel that it is too late to announce the free PS Plus games, the actual additions are made on the first Tuesday of every month. The September announcement will be made on Wednesday, September 1.

PS Plus Games Free for September 2021: Leaks and Predictions

Many fans thought that Sony had lost the battle with its September 2021 announcement of free PS Plus games. Online, there was a leak of the games. The image showed next-gen survival-horror title The Medium, while Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+ and indie game Haven. The leak was understandable since most PS5 PS Plus games are brand new, and The Medium just made its PS5 debut in September.

Sony’s close relationship with Activision has previously led to Activision titles being offered as PS Plus games. It was also easy for Sony to believe that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 could be included in the September 2021 free PS Plus games. There are Activision titles available through the PS Plus Collection deal for PS5, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Call of Duty; Black Ops 3.

The Medium developer BlooberTeam stepped in to discredit this PS Plus leak. Bloober Team claims The Medium won’t be a PS5 PS Plus free game in September. It’s no surprise that Medium‘s PS5 launch date is September 3 and not September 7, when the PS Plus games will be made available.
