The Sims has turned everyday life into an interactive video game for 21 years. What happens when takes control ofeveryday living? The result is a Twitch stream that’s absurd and allows viewers to see what a real person does every day.

Twitch streamer and YouTuber Jeremy Elbertson brought Sims to life through a stream in which viewers voted in real-time and controlled Elbertson as if he was a Sims character. Elbertson hosted the series, The Dollhouse as part of three events this weekend. You can watch the archived videos on his Twitch channel.

Elbertson stated via email that he is always pushing the limits of the medium to create an entertaining and enjoyable experience for his audience. Elbertson was shown a widget that allowed viewers to direct him around the set. Elbertson stated that his idea was to create an experience that feels and looks like playing a video game for viewers.

The streams were a complete theater production that included a set with two bedrooms and a yard. Elbertson behaved in the stream like a Sim character. He paced and pointed at random objects constantly. AsElbertson went through his day as a puppet, controlled by his audience. A crew of 35 people was on-site to run the lights, bring props, transition scenes and help the audience personalize the house. Sometimes, they even acted in the role of other characters.

The all-powerful audience was there to help, creating some truly bizarre scenarios. We have gathered the top moments from this weekend’s show.

Sims allows you to sleep, shower, eat, and even pee like a normal person. Some people tuned in to see Elbertson’s response. Did he really pee on the stream? Although the answer is no, it gave him the chance to make some hilarious scenarios in the toilet. The audience even made him take a shower with another character.

Ludwig puts Jerma to death in bed with Ludwig

Ludwig Ahgren, who broke records with his 31-day long subathon, surprised viewers by making an appearance as a sexy maid. Ahgren’s first appearance was a fun crossover event. Ahgren then made Ahgren feel at home by making more shenanigans. At one point, Ahgren confronted Elbertson after seeing him in bed with the Grim Reaper.

Jerma dies

Elbertson, just like the Sims had status bars that represented basic needs such as Energy, Hunger, and Fun. This in turn affected his performance. After several poor but hilarious decisions, Elbertson woke up and his energy level was at zero. So we got to see him die in the middle of a push up.

This is a bit meta, but at one point in the stream, the audience made Elbertson have a dream. The dream is where Elbertson streams from the bathroom and poops himself. This is actually a fever dream with many cast members dressed up as bizarre characters such as a cowboy wearing a huge sword and someone wearing a bear suit.
