Kamek, the Magikoopa, is now part of the Mario Kart roster. This 25-year-old character was first introduced in Mario Kart 64. Mario Kart Tour is Nintendo’s latest free-to-play spin of the kart racing series for mobile, and Kamek is its latest racer.

Nintendo announced Wednesday that Kamek (and his Zoom Broom) are part of the Kamek Tour. It runs through Sept. 7, in Mario Kart Tour. The Coin Box is Kamek’s special skill that “spits out money with reckless abandon”. You can see Kamek’s joy at finally being recognized by Mario Kart in the trailer below.

It’s revenge for Kamek, who was first featured in the Mario Kart 64 roster in a prerelease version of the game before Donkey Kong, and his stupid tie took his place in the final release. Kamek and other Magikoopa have appeared in Mario Kart games but not as playable characters. A picture of Kamek was found in Mario Kart 8’s files, suggesting that he was once considered but was relegated as a bridesmaid.
