Borderlands 4 Has a Strong History of Siren Lore to Work With
Borderlands 4If rumours about its development are true, it may be years away, but the game still has many questions. The game is still in development, however.BorderlandsWhile the franchise is primarily focused on comic characters and fantastical weapons; it also has a lot of lore. From the Vaults to the iconic villains, the franchise’s narrative content is near as well-thought-out as the hundreds upon hundreds of ways players can arm.
The Borderlands legends are deeply rooted in the Sirens. These groups possess extraordinary powers and comprise one of three playable classes in the main games. Borderlands has always had a significant role for the Sirens, but Borderlands 3 took this status to new heights by expanding upon Siren legend. Many fans are now looking to the future of Borderlands 4 and the many opportunities that Borderlands 3 presented while building on the franchise’s existing Siren lore.
Follow Nyriad’s Story from Borderlands 3
Borderlands 3 had many side stories that took players to different worlds, but the one most concerned with Siren lore was centred on the ancient Siren Nyriad. Players could discover messages left by Nyriad as they progressed through this game. Each message explained Nyriad’s past and gave a lot more information about Sirens. Borderlands4 would be able to develop her character further. Even though Nyriad is not physically present in the game, her impact on Borderlands legend cannot be underestimated.
Borderlands: The Seventh Siren
Out of the many bits of lore in Borderlands, one of the most rock-solid for many years was that there could only be six Sirens at any given time. With her last message, Nyriad warned players not to find the seventh Siren. This reaffirmed what players already knew about Siren legend and gave them many questions as to why this Siren should not be found. Borderlands 4 could be given a powerful villain by the seventh Siren if it is so terrifying.
