It sounds like heaven when a group of music lovers and gearheads come together to create the largest festival in the world. But Forza Horizon5 isn’t quite so idyllic. S and PC, the question is whether or not you’re allowed to play the game with your friends on other platforms.

S and PC players, meaning you can group up in convoys or race against multiple players no matter which platform they happen to call home. Cloud gaming is also supported by Forza Horizon 5, so players who play on mobile devices can enjoy cross-play with other platforms.
Does Forza Horizon 5 Support Cross-Save?
Cross-saves are supported by Forza Horizon 5. This means that you can save your progress to other platforms. This is great for those with multiple gaming setups. Cross-save will not work on Steam, but Steam players will still be able cross-play with other platforms.
Can you disable cross-play?
Cross-play in Forza Horizon 5 is not possible to disable. Cross-play is enabled by default. If you don’t plan on playing Horizon Solo, or the offline single-player mode then there’s no way to prevent yourself from matching up against PC players. This isn’t a big deal considering Forza Horizon 5 has a racing game, and not a shooting video game.
There is a way console players can disallow matchmaking with PC gamers. Here’s how it works:
. Go to your Xbox settings.
2. Scroll down to “Account”, then choose “Privacy & Online Safety”, followed closely by “Xbox Live Privacy”.
3. Click on “View Details & Customize” and then select “Communications & Multiplayer”.
4. To block, change the setting “You can play together with people outside Xbox Live”.
5. Now you’re ready to go.
It would be great to be able to disable cross-play in Forza Horizon 5, but consoles have the ability to do it completely. Matchmaking times can increase and you will need to switch the setting off every time you play another game that uses or requires cross-play.
