Crusader Kings 3’s Royal Court release has been postponed
Crusader Kings 3 Royal Court was delayed to 2022. This replaces previous release plans that would have it in gamers’ hands by the end. Paradox Interactive posted the delay on Steam’s community page. They stated that “This year was a long, interesting one, to say the least, but we are all here to ensure that our community gets what we all have been waiting for and deserve.”
Paradox continued by saying that they were “not entirely satisfied with Royal Court’s progress, especially regarding it stability”. This statement is shockingly forward for a game development company in 2021 but is still a valuable way to know what is happening.
It is refreshing to see Crusader Kings 3’s designers being open about the content delay. They also explained their reasons for doing it. Crusader Kings 3 is an unstable game that needs more work so the delay was necessary. It’s frustrating that no date has been set for when the expansion pack will be available to gamers, but it makes the wait less stressful.

Crusader Kings 3 Royal Court expansion adds a new Royal Court hub and new game mechanics to allow rulers to be at their most powerful. Its primary purpose is to provide new challenges for strategy players who have already mastered the game.

The artifact system has been redesigned as one of many changes to CK3 Royal Court. Royal Court’s new Court Artifacts look more flashy than ever. They are represented in 3D models of furniture, relics and other objects in the real-time hub instead of 2D images on player’s interface.
These 3D artifacts will increase your Court Grandeur and provide additional bonuses that can improve your ruler’s economic, political, and martial stats. If you have many of these artifacts, it may be necessary to decorate your Royal Court.
