Vince McMahon’s influence has seen NXT undergo significant changes over the past few months. Things have fallen backstage with a greater emphasis on finding the next big star from their homegrown talent than smaller independent wrestlers who have made NXT some of the most exciting on television.

The brand suffers from the departures of legend coach Scotty 2 Hotty and Hall of Famer commentator Beth Phoenix.

An anonymous source has stated that professional wrestlers are not given enough opportunities to express themselves, learn and grow. Many personnel is losing interest in what was once a popular grassroots sport because of budget cuts and the plethora of release.

Dave Meltzer added that, in addition to the criticisms coming from NXT’s significant players, there might be others who will follow Scotty and Beth as they seek greener pastures outside the company.

It’s hard to argue that NXT 2.0 is a promotion worth supporting, with more opportunities being taken from the Cruiserweight Division.
