Pokimane Calls On Streamers Not To Play Activision Blizzard Games
Twitch star Imane “Pokimane” Any is the latest industry figure to challenge Activision Blizzard over recent allegations.
The streamer has urged fellow content creators not to play games such as Call Of Duty: Vanguard or World Of Warcraft. However, it is essential to note that only financially secure individuals should avoid these games.
Activision Blizzard was the target of multiple lawsuits earlier this year. These lawsuits alleged a toxic work environment at the company and that many high-ranking employees were abused. Activision employees took organized action to demand a better workplace. They also created disturbing reports that detailed the harassment and inappropriate behavior that led to the lawsuits.
After months of legal battles, it was revealed that Activision CEO Bobby Kotick knew a lot about the abuse at his company and actively worked for one male colleague to keep his job after being accused of harassment.
As you can see, Activision Blizzard is not a very popular place at the moment. Many have called for Kotick to be removed immediately by Microsoft and PlayStation. This has not yet happened at the time this article was written.
Any expressed her opinions on the current situation with Activision Blizzard games during a stream.
She stated, “I believe if you’re a financially successful streamer, you just freakin’ shouldn’t.” “I do, however understand that there may be people whose income is heavily dependent on Blizzard games. However, I believe they should be vocal in this case about their opposition to the game if they want to continue playing it.
