UBISOFT SAYS MORE NEWS ABOUT SETTLERS REBOOT JANUARY 2022

Ubisoft announced it will share more information about The Settlers’ reboot sometime in January 2022.

The Settlers was originally revealed in 2019. However, it missed its initial release date and was delayed to the second half of 2020. The publisher pulled the game back in July 2020. However, it did not provide a new release window.

A second delay was caused by fan feedback from playtests and was followed immediately by the silence around the title.

Although we know that The Settlers will resurrect next year, Ubisoft did not hint at what kind of news we could expect in January 2022.

However, the tweet encourages fans to sign up via the game’s site for “a chance at playing.”

This could mean that playtests are taking place quickly and that a release date is not too far away.

The Ubisoft Store description of the game still says, “Set sail towards the unknown, conquer, and establish new islands in a new medieval fantasy land.” Still, it also mentions a single-player mode and an “online multiplayer mode that offers thrilling skirmishes for lasting fun.”

As we enter the new year, we’ll be learning more. Another city-building news: Anno 1800 will also get new content next year. The Season 4 Pass was revealed earlier this month.
