FFXIV Maintenance Patch 6.01 Completed, Pandaemonium Raid Live [UPDATE]

Update: Patch 6.01 has been released. Our Patch 6.01 summary contains more information about the update. It also includes details on Pandaemonium’s new raid gear set as well as the exchange system. You can read the original story here.

Despite the whirlwind of server problems and patchwork solutions that were implemented to improve the player experience , Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker content is still being developed. On December 21, Patch 6.01 for HTMLXIV will go live. This means that all players will have to go offline during a maintenance period. FFXIV will be offline from December 20th at 6 p.m. PT through December 21st, 2 a.m. PT (the exact time could change).

The main feature of Patch 6.01 is the first part of Endwalker’s eight-player Pandaemonium series. This raid chunk is called Pandaemonium – Asphodelos. We suspect that it will be four distinct instances, just like previous raid series’. Pandaemonium’s story will focus on certain Ascian characters (as you can see from the raid’s key art), and dive into their lore. Naoki Yoshida, director and producer of Pandaemonium, promises that there will be many surprises. Yoshidasan has done a walkthrough of one of Pandaemonium’s combat arenas in a past Live Letter. It looks haunted and vewy scawy. To access the Pandaemonium raids, players must complete the Endwalker main story questline.

Part of the Pandaemonium raid introduced into Patch 6.01, as seen during a previous Live letter from the Producer stream.

Patch 6.05 will still be available on January 4. This patch will bring the Savage difficulty versions to the Pandaemonium: Asphodelos raids. The new Allagan Tomestones will allow players to obtain more items and gear as well as endgame gear. The new patch content also includes a new Treasure Dungeon called The Excitatron 6000. On January 3, players can expect another FFXIV maintenance window.

Our Tomestone and endgame gear guide will help you prepare for the Pandaemonium raids. You can also use our fast-leveling guide to find other Jobs that are level 90 or above. Pandaemonium is not the only content in Endwalker. Make sure you have completed the optional level 90 Dungeons Smileton, and The Stigma Dreamscape.
