Ringu Curses are Dead by Daylight March 2022
Sadako could be heading to Dead By Daylight – at least that’s what Behaviour suggested based on the tease of Rolu. We’re not getting Samara, her American counterpart. In a collaboration Killer and Survivor have longed for, Chapter 23 will bring Koji Suzuki’s iconic horror work to The Fog next March.
While Kadokawa Cooperation and Behaviour are keeping the details secret, there are some interesting things you can deduce from the Dead by Daylight trailer, blog post, and . The most memorable beats in this Japanese horror series are the ominous well and the phone ring. Behaviour also mentions a flickering television in the description. Please also watch Ringu.
Western audiences might be familiar with The Ring. This adaptation of the Japanese movie Ringu is based on Suzuki’s novel. The story’s core is about the unfortunate few who end up watching Sadako’s cursed VHS and receive her terrifying call. Seven days later, the demon-like little girl appears from a well and crawls out onto any television screen nearby to unalive her victims. It’s a lot, and it was probably the most terrifying movie I ever saw in my childhood. But Ringu, a classic horror film, is still influencing horror culture all over the globe.
Dead by Daylight prides itself on being the Horror Hall of Fame. With a reputation like that Sadako seems to be the best addition to the roster. Although it’s difficult to imagine how she will work, Behaviour has made some other significant changes to the game in order to make other Killer choices feel more at ease. Resident Evil’s Neosis also saw new enemies in Deadt maps, including creepy, wandering Zombies.
This year’s asymmetrical horror game ranks among my top favorites. Despite being among the many who beg for Ringu it’s difficult to return to Dead by Daylight. The studio’s Hellraiser chapter was launched in October. However, excitement for the new addition ceased when its partners in the collaboration ended up using the ingame model for NFTs. Although the models won’t unlock any extra content for Dead By Daylight players, you don’t miss out on any content by not purchasing Hellraiser FFTs. However, Behaviour did help bring Pinhead NFTs to existence.
Later, Behaviour clarified their position on Twitter by insisting that do not sell NFTs, and that will never add Blockchain tech to Dead By Daylight. All of this is true, but a bad choice in a business partner can still be a poor decision. You don’t have the obligation to work with everyone. Since the entire ordeal, I haven’t played Dead by Daylight. I don’t know when I will, but I hope that the studio leadership can offer a better plan for the future and an apology.
