Since the 2000s, Rockstar Games has been known for publishing big titles. One of these titles was to be the sequel to Bully. Despite being close to completion, the game was cancelled.

Former employees of Rockstar Games that Gameinformer interviewed said that Rockstar New England created Bully 2 to be a direct sequel. Rockstar Games’ original Bully was a huge success. Bully 2 was a title that the entire studio worked on. However, the team was certain that Bully 2 would be “their” game before they were forced to leave and were laid off from the company because of development problems that plagued the development.

The developers had planned to give Bully 2 an identical map to GTA Vice City, where every building could be entered. This was before the game was pulled. The former developers also confirmed that Jimmy Hopkins would be affected by the Red Dead Redemption Honor system, which will affect his interactions and how he treats NPCs. In the last build, the game had missions and an explorable realm.

The demand for the next Bully remains strong as of right now. Some former members of the development team that worked on the title still have an interest in it. Dan Houser, ex-Vice President of Rockstar Games, expressed interest in returning to the game before he left the company in 2020.

We’ll wait to see if Rockstar Games actually picks up this game after so many years of gamers looking for the next installment of this game.
