Remaster Impressive of ‘Battlefield 3,’ Gives The Game A Tactical Upgrade

It is inspired by the Battlefield 2 Project Reality mod and promises a complete gameplay overhaul and UI overhaul that will make it more tactical and meaningful.

It was built using the VU framework, a community-oriented BF3 modding system, which will provide higher tickrates, built-in server browsing, private hosting, and much more.

Battlefield 3 was released in 2011. These changes maybe a little too late for some players. With the current Battlefield state, it would be a refreshing change to go back to the good times. Plus, the 2042 player numbers are already decreasing fast.
The team explained in the video that they have been having trouble getting the mod to a point where it can be released. This was due to several problems, including memory leaks, personal lives and the pandemic.
