Last September, Nintendo revealed the voice cast of their movie based on the Super Mario series. There was a mixed response to the announcement. After his strange post reveals video, few could see Chris Pratt convincing Mario. However, one of the founders of animation studio Illumination has called their performance “phenomenal”.

Seth Rogan’s mother was shocked to learn that her son had been cast in the role of Donkey Kong. However, the fans were happy with the comical actor. The response was so warm and Nintendo so confident of the film’s success that Rogan has been signed up for an additional solo Donkey Kong movie.

As My Nintendo News spotted, Luigi’s voice actor Charlie Day has offered his insight into the voice recording process. The day is most well-known for his role as the voice actor in It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. However, Day was a hyperbolic interviewer with Jimmy Kimmel about the project.

“I’m playing Luigi. Actually, I was just recording that this morning. I would love to tell all about it but these things are very secret. I don’t know anything. I don’t know anything. They show up, and I’m like, “You say this” and “You say that”, and it’s all very funny. Then I walk out to find two men in overalls and like hammers who are like, “Don’t tell anybody anything about Charlie.” We’re going to break your neck, I swear to God. ‘”

Although Nintendo doesn’t share its toys very often, it is unlikely that they have called the Hammer Bros. It did recently reach a YouTube channel for non-profit purposes with more than 1300 copyright strikes to share Nintendo soundtracks. This is despite the fact that there is no official way to access most of Nintendo’s music libraries.

Day claims that Day has not been allowed to read the script ahead of time. It’s also interesting that Day also claimed that the cast does not table read together. He claims that each actor records his lines separately. It doesn’t matter what Nintendo has in mind, the public won’t know until the end of the cast isn’t.
