Sifu Boss’ Guide: How to Defeat Jinfeng
You’ve seen the worst of this game’s threats by the time you reach the fourth level Sifu. However, it doesn’t mean that everything will be easy from now on. Sifu’s fourth boss Jinfeng is no joke. You’ll need to be vigilant if you want survival. This is everything you need about defeating Jinfeng.
Jinfeng is located where?
Jinfeng can be found at the fourth level of Sifu, The Tower. Jinfeng, the CEO of a large corporation, is your second and final target for vengeance against your father and master. Jinfeng, a master of martial arts, refuses to make it easy for you. She will force you to travel to the bottom of the Earth to get her down.
How to Defeat Jinfeng-Preparation
You’ll already have retooled your character using shrine upgrades if you followed our previous guide on how to defeat Kuroki. You should read the guide if you have not. It will help you when it comes down to defeating Jinfeng.
The level is worth noting three key points. First, if you complete the level, you will receive an elevator keycard. This allows you to travel between the beginning and the middle of the level. You can skip some tough fights and only 1 shrine. Although taking this extra risk can result in an upgrade, it is still a viable option. However, you can also skip that section and go straight underground. It’s okay to take shortcuts.
You will also be fighting Jinfeng’s personal bodyguards in the underground section. These are extremely difficult fights but can be reduced to a trivial fight with efficient focus meter management. You’ll face waves of enemies from lower tiers before you can take on the two fights. You should have at least two bars of focus in each fight.
After you have encountered the bodyguards, start the fight by using the vertical strikes focus on, then use light and heavy combos to bounce off the wall repeatedly. You can break down their structure with the right timing. Grab their stuff after you beat the second bodyguard. It will be useful during your boss fight against Jinfeng. However, be wary of the goons trying to knock you off the ledge that lies between Jinfeng and the second bodyguard.
The shrine at the bottom of the chasm is where you can purchase the final focus upgrade. Focus upgrades are a way to refill your meter so that you can enter the boss fight with three bars. These will be used to make the boss fight easier.
How to Defeat Jinfeng Phase 1
We have good news: if you enjoyed phase one of Kuroki’s boss fight, we have more. Jinfeng, when seen up close, isn’t nearly as difficult to handle. Jinfeng uses a chain whip with a terrifyingly long range. She uses it to play keep away from you. You will be subject to a combination of high- and low-level sweeping attacks as well as straight shots that are more direct and difficult to respond to.
Your staff will do wonders in blocking Jinfeng’s damage, so you can close the distance. Remember to grab it again after the fight begins. Once you are within range, launch a vertical strikes focus attack. Follow up with some combos. Finally, when she is fully recovered from the stun, throw her a focus sweep with a downed strike.
Fighting Jinfeng is a good option because her health and structure is much less than other bosses. This means that getting within range of Jinfeng is usually the beginning of the end. You can make Jinfeng fall by blocking, dodging, and parrying her attempts to get away from you.
How to Defeat Jinfeng Phase 2
The boss fight’s second phase is similar to the first, but she now has more options for combos that will mix things up. You also feel like you get a speed boost which makes it more difficult to defend against her zoning tactics. Her options for defending herself at close quarters are also more extensive, making it harder to deal with significant damage.
Your weapon will probably be destroyed by this point. However, the principle of attack defence remains the same. Close the distance, then batter her whenever you see an opening. You can dodge and parry to increase focus meter, but she will be defeated in just a few vertical strikes. Jinfeng, as a boss, is perhaps the most difficult in the game. This is especially true when she’s second to the last boss. Although she’s not an easy boss, it’s still manageable when compared to the past and what lies ahead.
Only one challenge remains between you and the completion of your mission once Jinfeng has been defeated. That’s at The Sanctuary
