Earthbound and Mother Come To Nintendo Switch Online Today
JRPG enthusiasts have been asking Mother 3 to be released in the West for years. We are now closer to this becoming a reality. Nintendo has announced that Mother and Earthbound, originally released in the West under the name Earthbound Beginnings, will be made available online via Nintendo Switch Online’s NES/SNES libraries. In the original version of the series, Earthbound was the only game available in the West. Mother was an exclusive to Japan until 2015, when Mother was made available on the Wii U Earthbound Beginnings. Mother 3 was never released in the West. However, Nintendo seems closer than ever to making Mother 3 available in the West after this announcement.
