“Battlefield V” currently has ten times more players than “Battlefield 2042”.
Battlefieldnow has so many players on PC that even 2016’s Battlefield1has overtaken entirely it.
Battlefield 2042 was released towards the end of last year. It hasn’t been as popular as DICE and EA had hoped. Since its launch, the futuristic military shooter has plagued bugs and server problems, leading to poor reviews, unhappy fans, and a shrinking player base.
Steam player statistics indicated that Battlefield 2042players had given up on the game to return to 2018’s Battlefield VR. World War II shooters started to rise and outdo the most recent installment.
SteamDB confirms that things aren’t getting any better for Battlefield 2204. The game currently has just under 2000 players online at this writing. This is almost ten times lower than Battlefield‘s 21,000 and half the Battlefield_’s 6,500. This is a poor look for a game released just months ago. This shows that DICE must do something quickly if it wants players to come back.
Battlefield2042 has more than a steep drop in players. A disgruntled player started a petition asking for full refunds from EA on all platforms. This petition has nearly 200,000 signatures in just a few days.
According to numerous consumer reports, Electronic Arts & DICE failed to keep many promises at launch, and Battlefield2042 was released as unplayable,” reads the petition. “Battlefield 2042still has bugs that dramatically alter the in-game experience, so it’s been deemed unfinished by many community members.”
