Halo Infinite Player Discovers Weapon Skin Looks Like a “Cheeto”
Halo infinite offers a wide range of skins that can be used to enhance your weaponry and armour. But, one item stands out.
Roman, a pro-halo player recently bought the Crimson Serpent Weapon Set at the Halo Store. The gun looked great in its previews but the player noticed a striking resemblance with a particular orange, savoury snack.
Crimson Serpent Weapon Set can be purchased at 600 credits ($6/PS6 real money). The skin can be applied to eight guns, including the Hydra or BR75 battle rifle.
Some have pointed out the misleading nature of the images, even though the preview shows a strong red-and-blue color scheme.
Roman particularly likes the way the weapon’s tip looks almost exactly like a Cheeto.
Many free-to-play games have skins that can be purchased, but the weapon set presents a problem in terms of how players are communicating these items. 343 Industries is being asked by some fans to allow players to see the effects of skins on guns before they purchase. It would be possible to test the sets before spending any real money.
This feature should hopefully be added to an update soon. The developer has already responded to similar issues like XP gain and challenges.
A recent patch addressed long-standing performance problems and bugs. Another patch was released a few days ago, and it finally addressed connection problems and desync lagging.
