Furious ‘Elden Ring’ Player Smashes PS5 Controller In Two
Elden Ring can be a frustrating game. Over the course of my 100-hour exploration of The Lands Between, I have been electrocuted, entrapped, burned, drowned, eaten, and even yet to my death.
Sometimes death can strike at any moment, and it isn’t always fair. You’ll be able to tell Elden Ring what you can expect from a typical Video Game. This game actively enjoys screwing with the players.
Understandably, Elden Ring would sometimes make us want to abandon the game and throw our controllers in an angry rage. I’m sure I have! One player, however, may have gone a bit too far and tore their PlayStation 5 controller in two out of frustration.
Reddit user Weebfromkonoha posted a photo of their mangled DualSense before the Eldenringtitle screen. The caption was: “I think that I’m done for tonight.”
Although it is not clear which boss fight or area elicited this visceral response, it is very evident that the DualSense controller has been removed from the game.
It’s not surprising that there aren’t many people who express sympathy or support for Weebfromkonoha. It’s okay to get angry about a game. But is it wrong to smash a controller? This is a problem.
One user wrote, “I don’t understand how people get so angry playing videogames.” “When I get frustrated, I will curse at the screen. But even that is something I only do very rarely.”
