PlayStation Confirms: ‘Hogwarts’ Legacy Gameplay to Be Revealed This Week
It’s finally here, Oh Lawd! Hogwarts Legacy was first revealed in 2020. It is undoubtedly one of the most highly anticipated game titles on the internet, even though we know very little about it. This is about to change.
PlayStation has just announced via Twitter that the game will be getting a dedicated State of Play stream this Thursday (17 March), which will feature our first look at actual gameplay. Wizards rejoice.
“Wands ready for an all-new State of Play focused Hogwarts Heritage, featuring an extended first look at gameplay on Thursday, March 17th at 2 PM PT,” reads the tweet. This is for UK readers at 9 pm (you are welcome).
A post from the PlayStation blog states that the stream will last around 20 minutes and feature more than 14 minutes of gameplay. It will be captured on PlayStation5. The stream will conclude with some insights from Avalanche Software team members who bring the Wizarding World to life.
All this seems to support rumours that we’d soon hear more about the game. They suggested that we would be receiving a “big” State of Play this month. Let’s face the fact, and we didn’t get anything big from our last week’s. You can’t doubt the insiders.
Last month, there was a separate rumour about what might expect from the gameplay. RetroRaconteur claims that the game will have a large open-world with many areas and towns, such as Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade. The game is said to have been inspired by Breath in the Wild because it encourages exploration and goes wherever the player wants. This, if done well, could be a great thing.
We’ll find out this Thursday whether those gameplay rumours were true. If so, they won’t hide the game’s open-world nature. We don’t know if there will be a release window, but rumours are circulating that it might be available by September. However, we’ll need to wait to see the official confirmation.
