Another day, another Twitch controversy. Canadian Twitch streamer xQc – real name Felix Lengyel – is not new to the internet’s wrath. xQc was the victim of a series of incorrectly called police raids last year. This forced him to leave his home and has been banned from streaming sites more times than you could count.

Reddit’s Place was revived this year by the 26-year old. It was originally held on April Fools Day, 2017. Participants could create a canvas by changing one pixel in a 20-minute window on the RSS0_ subreddit. The three-day event saw over a million participants create a canvas of 16 million pixels. This sounds innocent enough. It sounds perfect.

xQc streamed the event and attracted over 233,000 viewers. He also broke the Twitch Peak Viewership record. However, only halfway through the stream, xQc asked his followers to attack My Little Pony fans. One of the Pony fans had created a pixel version of Rainbow Dash using the event. Minutes later, xQc viewers reduced the image to a series of black dots.

Needless to say, xQc was quite heated, but not as much as the My Little Pony fans that he offended. He later apologized, saying that he was sorry for any injuries or maltreatment. “I thought this was just fun on a website.” Does anyone else have flashbacks of childhood playground arguments? My Little Pony fans will tell you that friendship is magic.
