Rockstar Games Announces More Remakes. They’re fan-favourites
Rockstar Games announced it would partner with Remedy Entertainment and is remaking two fan-favourite video games.
Remedy announced that it had signed a new deal with Rockstar to remake the first two Max Payne video games for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S.
Do not be alarmed if you are worried that this will be another Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy HTML3_fiasco. The remedy stated that it would take charge of the development with Rockstar funding.
According to the announcement, the project will be “in line with a typical Remedy AAA game production.” This is great news; if you have played Control recently (or any other Remedy game), it will be obvious.
Control: the Max Payne Remakes will be created using Remedy’s Northlight engine. This is the same engine used to create the 2019 action game and the upcoming Alan Wake2.
Max Payne and Max Payne 2 The Fall Of Max Payne were created by Remedy and released in 2001/2003. Rockstar was responsible for 2012’s Max Payne 3
In the announcement, Sam Houser, the Rockstar founder, said that “We were thrilled when Remedy approached me about remaking Max Payne’s original games.” “We love the Remedy team’s work over the years and can’t wait for these new versions.
Tero Virtala, the Remedy CEO, said that Max Payne will always be a special part of our hearts. We also know that millions of fans worldwide feel the same.”
We don’t know if the Max Payne remakes will be released before Alan Wake 2. This is currently slated for a 2023 launch.
