We have been spoilt for Star Wars announcements lately, and another has entered the fray.

According to the Star Wars website, Amy Hennig (creative director and creator of the Uncharted series) will be working with Lucasfilm Games on a new Star Wars game. Hennig worked previously on a Star Wars video game with Visceral in 2017. In 2017, EA pulled the project from the site. Skydance New Media was her new division within Skydance Media. It was said to be focused on stories-driven experiences. This studio will create a new title.

Hennig said that the Star Wars 1977 movie “essentially rewired” his 12-year-old brain. This shaped my creativity and my future indelibly. It’s a joy to work with Lucasfilm Games to tell interactive stories in the galaxy I love.

Lucasfilm Games was also happy to have Hennig as a creative director. Douglas Reilly, Vice President of Lucasfilm Games, stated, “We couldn’t be happier to work again, Avec Amy. Skydance New Media and has the ambition and talent to create an original Star Wars adventure. Their vision of creating narrative-driven and engaging interactive entertainment makes this a fascinating collaboration. We work with their talented and experienced developers and look forward to sharing more Star Wars stories with Star Wars fans.

Although not much information is available at this time, it is one of several Star Wars games announced. It includes Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2, a new FPS developed by Titanfall and a strategy game from XCOM 2. Whatever Star Wars flavour you prefer, something is coming soon.
