Fortnite Players Get Clothing and Swimming-Based Update Glitches
How can you capture the Fortnite victory medal when you are distracted by texture bugs on the character’s clothes or floating in water instead of swimming?
These are some of the questions players have had to deal with in the last few days as Epic Games attempts to fix several problems that may have been caused by 20.20.
Epic Games has already begun to address the issue, but some players are still frustrated and posting images of their glitches on social networks.
Fortnite Players Get Update Glitches
In recent months, most of the glitches seem to be related to in-game clothing. This was demonstrated by @dilfun123 on Twitter, who responded to a Fortnite status tweet to acknowledge the issues and said: “It took you guys two days figure this out.”
They also provided the following thread, which highlighted some clothing-related issues: Haileys’ jacket looks completely stiff in this picture. Some characters’ hair/clothing are also bugged: Loserfruit, Daring Duelists, Beach Jules, and Ariana Grande outfits. Tsuki 2.0 is another example.
@TribalSteak tweeted a clip showing an amusing glitch in which a female character’s head appears to be slipping through her hood during an animation for PS5.
Other actors highlighted the issues with skirts or capes on characters such as Rue. Dwayne Johnson, who voiced the legend outfit The Foundation sticking up abnormally, made for an exciting experience.
Android user @MobileMamaLlama pointed out some issues with mobile swimming and diving animations, apparently caused by the update.
The Nintendo Switch seems to be the most affected platform by general glitches. One player even created the Twitter account @ PhysicsSwitch to press Epic Games to fix physics issues within the game.
