Starfield Will Use One Of The Elder Scrolls’ Forgotten Features
Last night’s Xbox & Bethesda showcase featured a lot of interesting stuff, including Diablo III and a trailer for the highly anticipated Hollow Knight Silk song. This was not what anyone expected, but we are not complaining.
Check out the Starfield gameplay reveal right here.
The game is confirmed to have over 1000 explorable planets from 100 Star Systems. It is also believed that Starfield will bring back an old feature that was in an Elder Scrolls game. PCGamesN reports that you can start your space adventure in large amounts of debt. Fun!
Bethesda diddidn’tscuss this feature, but you can see it in the footage of the character creation screen. When you select your background traits, one option, called “st” rt home,” g” generously grants you a 50,000 credit mortgage. (see the video below).
This is not the first game to allow home-ownership repayments and debt (Animal Crossing has done this since its inception). However, Bethesda introduced it to their 1996 release, The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. It’It’srd to say if this is an intentional nod to the release, but it’it’sill cool.
