Creative Assembly Announces Hyenas, a Multiplayer FPS Set in Spa
I’m a huge fan of Alien Isolation. It’s one of Creative Assembly’s few non-strategy titles. They are also well-known for the Total War series, and even Halo Wars 2. Sega and the team today announced Hyenas, an interactive multiplayer FPS set within a sci-fi universe that has been destroyed by billionaires (hey! That’s the connective tissue for Alien). The trailer for the game is below, along with an alpha session.
There has been some Twitter snark about the style Creative Assembly chose for Hyenas. But I don’t want it to be dismissed because 1. Alien Isolation has been called one of the best games of the last generation. Haters are damned. One central character appears to be using something akin to a GLOO gun straight out of Prey. This is another of the best games of the last generation, perhaps even the best, in my opinion. Creative Assembly has posted this post. It is at least pointing the right way.
