EA Announces Playtest for ‘Skate 4’ Gameplay
It’s happening, oh lawd. It’s happening. Thanks for the tip, insiders.
GamesRadar+ reported that the Skate Twitter account confirmed the news and a new trailer featuring gameplay footage. However, it is still early in development. It is “pre-prepare-pre alpha” footage, according to the developers. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t see as many polygons as you expected. Okay? Okay.
“We’re still trying to fix it, but now it’s your turn to see what’s been happening—register to be a skater. The devs wrote. They also provided the link that I’m specific unfathomable amounts of people have been clicking since last night in hopes of getting on their boards as soon as possible.
You must be at least 18 to sign up. The insider FAQ page states that players will be invited “based upon varying factors defined in our goals for testing at this time in development.” It’s impossible to predict when players will be allowed in, but it appears it will be gradual.
You can currently access the playtest only on PC via Origin. However, the official page notes that the playtest will eventually be available on other platforms (you can choose your preferred platform when you sign up for the Insider program). You can expect that those allowed to playtest the game will be instructed to not share any information with anyone outside the “appropriate channels.” Sign up now to make sure you don’t miss anything.
