It looks like FIFA 23 on Switch will be another Legacy Edition.
ORIGINAL STATEMENT: After many years of feeling obligated, EA has given up on Switch to FIFA.
FIFA 23 is now available on all platforms. However, it will also be available at the Epic Games Store for PC for the first time in the franchise. Even though the game is supposedly dead, it’s still available on Stadia. There’s very little support.
The Switch is not listed on the platforms for this game. This means that Nintendo fans will not be receiving a Legacy Edition.
These roster updates have cost PS30+ each season since FIFA 18, causing a lot of backlashes. EA is unwilling or unable to make FIFA work properly on Switch. Switch players have been playing FIFA since 2018, but with different kits and squads.
EA has not confirmed that FIFA 23 will not be coming to Switch in any way, but the eShop doesn’t have it, and the EA website doesn’t list it. IGN seems to have stopped using the same reviews each year which were almost as worthwhile to read as playing FIFA on Switch.
