Fortnite Season 7 Trailer Reveals Five Secrets Players Could Miss
Fortnite Season 7 has finally arrived and Epic Games unveiled an official cinematic trailer to introduce many of its characters, some of whom appear in Battle Pass as well.
At the same time, fan-favorite character The Foundation made an appearance near the end of this trailer; his appearance links perfectly with Chapter 2 Season 3. However, this visual also tie into another parallel from Chapter 2.
No doubt there’s plenty to contemplate inside of a trailer, so to help simplify matters we will break things down and present all relevant points for discussion.
Are You Missing Key Easter Eggs in Fortnite Season 7 Trailer? Worry Not, We have You Covered with this list of 5 Narrative Changes That Should be Expected in Season 7.
Peely begins speaking into a camera in different voices for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7.
Fortnite characters were later shown examining frequencies and tracking down UFOs; crop circles and alien abductions were briefly covered as well.
Fortnite Island residents gathered together in celebration of a UFO sighting. For any pop culture fan, this scene appears like something out of Independence Day (1996).
Rick from Rick and Morty appears next, playing an unusual piano-machine tune known as a solfa cipher which sounds eerily similar to Guns N’ Roses’ Sweet Child O’ Mine intro; its significance will become clear later in season 1.
A UFO appears and dismantles Spire POI before cutting to show Foundation falling through a rift and landing in water, whereupon scene cuts to show him being washed ashore by waves. The trailer ends as Foundation splashes around violently while splashing in it as his life slowly drains away in front of his eyes.
As part of Fortnite’s narrative progression, Doctor Slone may have gone unnoticed amongst all of its chaotic unfolding. She will become an important presence throughout its story progression.
She first appeared in Fortnite Season 6 cinematic, when Agent Jonesy reached out for advice before betraying his order and going towards Seven. She advised Jonesy not to follow their plan out of fear it might destroy Island.
Doctor Slone has arrived to defend all Island inhabitants against an alien attack and players should expect that she will provide important insight into her organization in the coming days and weeks.
Fortnite Season 7 features Doctor Slone at the heart of the Island and players can earn themselves the Mythic Pulse Rifle by defeating her.
Some scenes require revisiting as they contain subtle clues that might indicate John Doe is really Agent Jonesy in disguise. In one cinematic, Peely disguised herself as John Doe apparently to protect John’s identity, yet we all can surely guess who this person really is?
Well, we think Agent Jonesy may have done it and here are our reasons: the voice gives it away: even using audio scrambling software it still sounds strikingly similar.
John Doe begins telling a new tale and continues where previous narratives left off: the arrival of other individuals at their destination.
Though no confirmation can be given as this character may be entirely new. It will be fascinating to witness what information John Doe knows about these aliens during Season 7.
This image was quite obvious as it depicted Clark Kent sitting at his office desk while looking through his Fortnite skin collection, complete with Press Pass ID attached. Additionally, in the background can be seen someone else playing Season 6!
Examine carefully, however, and you might spot several surprises here. First is that Batman does not appear wearing his Zero Point comic book outfit.
So far in Fortnite there are two distinct timelines at work; one which represents Aliens/Season 7 action; the other from Batman Fortnite comic books.
Time will only tell! Only then will we know for certain whether Epic Games plans to incorporate Justice League members.
UFOs use massive bolts of energy to destroy POIs like Spire POI, creating an explosive blast of destruction which causes it to be disassembled into smaller parts, creating an impassible barrier at its base – but doesn’t this sound familiar?
As reported by a reporter, “the island is no stranger to strange phenomena”, having witnessed meteors and craters before. Only this time around was it brought by aliens!
Fortnite Season 7 Crater at the Center of the Map
In Fortnite, craters represent “the end”, where bad things usually follow when one forms on an Island and this time could possibly fall outside the control of Imagined Order’s authority.
Thor’s Hammer appeared as a new point-of-interest (POI) when it hit an island in Chapter 2 Season 4, as did Dusty Divot from Chapter 1. Both locations proved invaluable POIs throughout Seasons 4.
Naturally, Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7’s crater can’t just be taken at face value as an accidental coincidence; rather, its developers have established that history repeats itself when it comes to craters destroying Fortnite’s map.
Only now remains to ask: Where has Zero Point been placed?
Recall Chapter 2 Season 3, when Midas was left floating around alone after his Authority had been destroyed and drowned by flooding on an flooded island, hoping to outwit any sharks lurking beneath. He managed to survive by swimming on planks as far as he could.
Well, perhaps the similarities may not be quite so striking this time around… yet they remain striking nonetheless!
In the final scene of the cinematic trailer, The Foundation can be seen drowning. But this doesn’t mark an endpoint for their leader of Seven.
Importantly, we believe the Foundation remains unaware of this recent invasion due to red symbols on his face that lit up when he first came to the Island in season 6. This evidence supports our conclusion.
Trailer shows them not glowing – in fact it appears as though their lights have been switched off – suggesting their character has hibernated for an unknown period of time.
Fans expect Midas will survive his fall and return soon with the Foundation back onto the Island.
