Need For Speed Underground 2 RTX has received another stunning upgrade with this latest remaster!

Need for Speed Underground 2 has never looked better thanks to an impressive RTX Remix upgrade.

Need For Speed Underground 2, first published and created by Electronic Arts back in 2004, is still going strong today and continues to draw rave reviews from players of all generations. However, one talented modder has transformed it with an eye-catching RTX update, providing it a modern flair reminiscent of today.

Uncle Burrito recently uploaded a video showcasing their current WIP build of Street Racing: Shadow League that showcases new ray-traced visuals, updated textures, lighting effects, and faster street racers that rival modern day titles like Forza or Gran Turismo in terms of visual aesthetic.

Everything about Uncle Burrito’s creation looks astounding, from its overhead glow and vibrant neon lighting, puddle reflections, to no stutters or frame drops during his demo run. Additionally, this video marks only his second update about it being shared online; more updates should follow soon enough!

Fans of the title expressed their enthusiasm and respect for all that has gone into its transformation thus far. Fans also commented on the update video to express their thanks and admiration.

“What you are doing is inspiring, as is my enjoyment of this game since 2007”.

“What an impressive feat to create this beauty with just official mod tools out of beta! This will surely go down as one of my greatest achievements ever!”

“This car appears to have undergone extensive revision, likely including an entirely new engine like that found on UE5 models.”

At first glance it may be astonishing to witness a 2004 game looking this good after so long, yet this shouldn’t come as any shock given that modding communities have created some stunning upgrades for old school titles such as Ocarina of Time or Resident Evil (1996, etc).

Remakes and remasters should look just as fantastic, which we hope is true of future remakes and remasters, though so far with Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake, we don’t appear to be in for that type of experience.
