What steps have been taken to move on from Street Fighter 5 ahead of its imminent successor launch, Street Fighter 6?
Artist and animator Quasimodox shared these veterans’ efforts in paying their final respects to Street Fighter 5 by posting artwork entitled, “Our Goodbye to Street Fighter 5” with tags from many artists they collaborated with on it.

They then created a thread featuring individual posts from these creators showcasing which of the entire roster’s worth of characters they had drawn with their individual styles.

Quasimodox shared details about this project on Reddit thread about it, wherein she explained how the artwork has slowly come together over a number of months, proclaiming her happiness about having completed it right before Street Fighter 6 launches: “I am delighted we were able to finish in time!”

SheldonTwitching commented on a Twitter post by summarizing their opinion of Street Fighter 5 by writing, “Street Fighter 5 is often maligned, yet in my estimation, its flaws become acceptable over time – it will always remain close to my heart!”

“[I had genuine moments] I won’t ever forget,” replied the streamer, before noting: “[[it was a] good chapter that I am happy to move past, with nothing left over for complaint in the end.”

Reddit user MrSly0 recently noticed an unfamiliar character within Quasimodox’s work that caught his eye; Quasimodox revealed to be Yuriko Hibiki – she is Dan’s sister who appears in Street Fighter 5 Shop but not playable character – she was added just for fun as part of our promotional strategy.”
