Hogwarts Legacy’s latest update brings major gameplay enhancements.
Hogwarts Legacy fans are itching for more. A sequel, an expansion… whatever they may need! Unfortunately I cannot bring either of those things today but instead can announce a fresh update has been deployed for the game that includes quality of life enhancements and bug fixes.
Hogwarts Legacy is an underutilized game with so much unrealized potential that fans are craving more from it. While some gamers consider Hogwarts the ideal video game location of all-time, other have noted just how void and lifeless its open world feels. Fans want more substantial elements added like Bully-inspired morality systems or working companion systems which were cut from final release version; additionally there is hope of Quidditch DLC or Diagon Alley travel plans being added; I could go on! For now though we must settle with gameplay improvements alone!
ComicBook reported on 2 June that a patch had been made available, which will likely have made an appearance by this weekend if you loaded your game up. This patch features many bug fixes but its primary effects can be seen during cinematics: on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players’ wands will no longer be switched out for generic ones during cinematics; an issue with collection count has also been addressed, making completing your Field Guide much simpler; several missing pages in Field Guide have also been fixed while issues pertaining to mission tracking should have also been fixed, meaning far fewer crashes all together!
On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, the main character will no longer use generic wands during cinematics; an issue was addressed where large gold chests could be lootable when they should not have been; Daedalian Key rewards should now be available if they weren’t before; plus general memory optimization.
On PC, we’ve addressed an issue related to VRAM memory leaking and updated NVIDIA Streamline SDK; overall your Hogwarts Legacy experience should now run more smoothly!
