Modern Warfare 2 will bring back an old Call Of Duty 4 map from back into play with Modern Warfare 2.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will bring back an iconic map from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare – Showdown to be exact! Can anyone spot what I am about to mention?

Modern Warfare II launched to great reviews and sales figures; indeed it achieved one of the most successful launches ever for Call of Duty games! However, since its release, fans have been left disillusioned with updates for both MWII and Warzone 2.0; fans were particularly let down with Warzone 2.0 as its name dropped “2.0”, soon to return simply as Warzone; Activision are set to appear tonight’s Summer Game Fest to provide information regarding what lies in store for both titles; perhaps including Showdown returning?

Showdown first appeared back in Call of Duty 4, and thanks to Twitter we know it will return as part of season four update. In addition, five multiplayer maps such as Kunstenaar District, Mawizeh Marsh, Ahkdar Village Penthouse and Mercado will join this new feature of the game as part of this expansion pack.

There will also be various new gunfight blueprints, 12v12 Search & Destroy and Prisoner Rescue modes as well as new weapons including the “Tempus Razorback”, ISO 45 SMGs and Tonfa melee weapons which resemble Fortnite Thunder Spears strongly in appearance.

Not to worry! Season four also brings two new operators: Ana Vega and Nikto; bundles; and the “Assault on Vondel” event. Summer Game Fest should give us our first look at these updates in action through trailers; season four itself starts up again on 14 June so don’t wait too long before jumping back in!
