Who tuned into Summer Game Fest last night in Los Angeles? Geoff Keighley took to the stage last night in LA and presented what’s coming up in gaming over the coming months and years – though of course only a small sample! However, last night provided us with some exciting reveals!

Mortal Kombat 1 has revealed its first gameplay trailer which looks just as bloody as its reveal trailer, while we finally know when Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will finally release. Twisted Metal has released an exciting trailer featuring Sweet Tooth and Lies of P has revealed their free playable demo which can now be found online. Ubisoft surprised us all when they revealed a brand-new Prince of Persia game – not The Sands of Time remake which had been stagnating in development for so long – not long ago. Ubisoft revealed its first gameplay trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth but, rather, what stood out was something simple as two discs at the end.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth promises to be so epic and long that Square Enix wants everyone involved to know it’s coming on two discs – something I know from The Last of Us Part II’s release; perhaps other examples exist within your collection as well – signifying an unforgettable and lengthy adventure await us all.

Assumptively, one disc should serve as an installation disc while the other one serves as the one you play from. But fans have another theory; perhaps one disc will contain Zack’s story while Cloud’s will appear on another – an unconventional move by Square Enix; however it could work; no other game has ever advertised or promoted that fact as strongly as this does!

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth should hit store shelves sometime early 2024 – we just don’t yet know the date!
