Bungie announced its Marathon game announcement last week with an inaugural “TWID”, or This Week in Destiny — their revamp of TWAB as an announcement post, but Bungie wanted a way for their players to keep informed as usual about upcoming changes to Destiny 2 — this TWID shares information such as Grandmaster Nightfalls and PVP Supremacy Game Mode returning during Season of the Deep.

Weekly Grandmaster Nightfalls will debut beginning Tuesday, June 13 with The Lightblade strike and allow players to pursue an Adept Wendigo GL3 heavy grenade launcher; subsequent weeks may feature The Loaded Question Fusion rifle or Braytech Osprey rocket launchers instead.

Bungie noted that Grandmaster Nightfalls this season have begun earlier than in prior seasons due to Season of the Deep not increasing the Power level cap and power level adjustments from Season of Seraph that decreased both Power level requirement to enter activity and overall Grandmaster Power level had an influence. Furthermore, “Conqueror gilding nodes are planned to open during Week 7,” Bungie revealed about this Grandmaster title.

Supremacy mode returns to the Crucible after appearing recently at Guardian Games. Players can access it via Relentless playlist which currently features Clash, Rift and Zone Control as weekly selections.

What do you think about Grandmaster Nightfalls kicking off earlier in the season, as well as its return to Crucible playlists?
