PSA: Now Is an Excellent Time to Accumulate Last Wish Deepsight Weapons in Destiny 2
With Season of the Deep’s activities in Destiny 2, players can explore new methods of collecting Deepsight weapons for use in Last Wish raid. It takes five Deepsight extractions before crafting can take place; but be wary – as getting these patterns might prove more challenging than expected!
Destiny 2 Team Twitter recently informed players of a bug allowing double pattern progress when buying Last Wish Deepsight weapons from Suraya Hawthrone, normally one extraction counts as one pattern progress but now Hawthorne’s Last Wish Deepsight weapons grant two per extraction! This should bring extra benefits for players!
Bungie plans on fixing this bug soon, so their team advised players to make use of this farm until then. Since three to four weeks is an indeterminate amount of time, now would be better than later to start taking advantage.
Securing raid chests through Wall of Wishes checkpoints – such as those near Shuro Chi encounter and Morgeth — has also proven fruitful for players on Destiny The Game subreddit, according to reports on Deepsight weapon drops.
If you don’t mind taking your time, two methods exist for consistently unlocking Deepsight Last Wish weapons every week: participating in Hawthorne at Tower’s O Deepsight Mine quest or farming through raid encounters multiple times for patterns progress rewards will result in you purchasing one from Hawthorne at 20 Spoils of Conquest (an exchange currency from raid encounter completion); alternatively you could run through initial Kalli encounter multiple times until Hawthorne sells Deepsight versions that match.
