Veil Containment Audio Logs Provide an Overview of Destiny 2’s Veil
Although Parting the Veil began alongside Season of the Deep, its storylines extend through Destiny 2: Lightfall. Once completed, an official Lightfall campaign marker will appear within Neomuna Veil Containment area and you may enter mission to find audio logs explaining more about Veils.
As part of your Parting the Veil quest, during a glowing computer screen above the Veil you may hear Chioma Esi’s audio log – one of Neomuna’s founders and an Ishtar Collective researcher – discuss her studies of the Veil, Vex and Neomuna history; once completed revisit this computer again to listen in on Esi and Maya Sundaresh studies of Neomuna itself as well. Unfortunately however, you cannot access these audio logs through patrolling; instead use its marker on your map instead!
Parting the Veil final mission builds upon knowledge gleaned in Lightfall campaign and Root of Nightmares raid, such as Nezarec disclosing that Savathun brought Veil from Neptune — while providing further details through research logs and incident logs.
Parting the Veil’s final mission, however, ended unceremoniously: Osiris stated he needed several days to break through Esi’s encrypted logs protected by Vex algorithms – with archive audio logs likely part of Osiris’ decryption efforts being stored at Veil Containment as evidence of decipherment taking place there.
From Season of the Deep’s launch, Veil Containment Mission audio logs have been shared weekly; yet their purpose and number remains uncertain.
